Hi Eric,

I don't think Norman was related to Samuel Eliot Morison.

I found John, Susie, and Norman in the 1920 and 1910 census. Norman has a brother George H. who was a few years younger. John was born in Scotland and emigrated either in 1875 or 1880 depending on what census you believe. Since Samuel Eliott comes from a Morison family who had been in the US since 1720, I don't think there is a relation.

However, now you have some emigration information to research. In the 1920 census, living next door was a Frederick K. Morrison, and likely his son Truman. Frederick was born in Scotland and emigrated the same year as John, so they are likely brothers.

That's all for now. Talk to you later,

Jim Morrison
