Hello Tania:

I would like to confirm that the place of death of Octave was in Montreal (Longue-Pointe at the time) and at the psychiatric hospital of St-Jean de Dieu later known as Louis-Hyppolite Lafontaine Hospital. I did the check to make sure that he did not die in the town of St-Jean de Dieu located further East in Quebec.

While he died on 27 Feb 1931, the death was not registered in the registry of that parish (although it was an institution) until 8 Mar at the request of the Inspector of the department of anatomy of the City of Montreal, I believe . An autopsy may have been performed on Octave or his body may have been given to a university for medical research. He was said to be from Maniwaki; no mention of his parents of spouses. He was 52 or 53.
