born in county kerry,ireland in about 1836. came to america in about 1858 with brothers michael,john and timothy. i think ther was a sister named johanna. william and michael were in the union army. michael in the 35th irish brigade. william at the arsenal in indianapolis. john was in the south so fought with the 1st virginia irregulars. i don`t know anything about timothy or johanna. john,michael,william survived the war. michael died at the indiana soldier`s and sailor`s home in lafayette,in. william married anna flannagin in putnam county,in. they had 5 children, mary (married harry weber,i`m named after their daughter katherine (conerty) weber. theresa,john (my grandfather), william, joseph. my mom said one of her uncles or great-uncles moved to mitchell,in. any informationon the moriarity family would be greatly appreciated.
