My Great-grandaunt Mary Bode married Charles Mori, a GERMAN ! Censuses show he was born about 1852 in Baden, Germany. He and Mary settled in Stamford, CT, in the late 1800's and the Mori family appears in the Stamford Directories all through 1890's-1930's. Their children were: Henry Jacob, Pauline Mori-Cahill, Charles Mori and Lillian Mori- Hofman. The directories contained ANOTHER Mori family: Anacleto Mori. They also were in directories in Stamford and may still be there. So there are both German and Italian Mori families. Go figure.
