Through Sarah Westfall we descend from Nicholas Stillwell who married widow Catherine Huyberts - 9th great grandparents.
Nicholas Stillwell’s brother Richard married Mercy Freelove Cooke, the grand niece of Mercy Sands who was friends with Captain Cook (no relation) She was said to have had her apron enriched by him.
Helena Applegate and Charles Morgan’s nephew Daniel Applegate was friend’s with Captain Cooke. His home was adorned with lavish possessions, thought to have been Captain Cook’s loot. Charles Morgan’s first wife was Helena Applegate. His second wife was Catherine Huyberts. Nicholas and Richard Stillwell were the cousins of Charles Morgan, through their mother’s Abigail and Rachel Hopton.

“Rachel Hopton had a son, Charles Morgan, whose widow, Catherine, married,
secondly, Nicholas, younger son of Nicholas Stillwell and Abigail Hopton.”
Charles Morgan died 1668 Gravesend, Kings County, New York. He was schout at Gravesend in 1662.
He was one of the Delegates from Gravesend to the Dutch Government at New Amsterdam. His will was dated on 13 September 1668 (13 7th month 1668) proved 26 Oct 1668. "Charles Morgen of Gravesend upon Long Island in Yorkshire being in perfect memory..." Appoints wife, Katherine Morgen as sole executor. Leaves to son Charles "the lot or plantation which is recorded upon him in the towne booke of Gravesend." Names other sons Thomas Morgen, John Morgen, and Daniel Morgen. Names three daughters Mary Morgen, Rachel Morgen, Susanna Morgen. Signed, with witnesses, William Goulding, Samuel Spicer.
