Do you have the birth and death dates of General Daniel Morgan as well as name of wife and children and birthdates/places? I found that Salem, Pilesgrove NJ is butted up against Gloucester NJ. I find an Isaac or Ishaim Morgan family in Elbert county GA and appears Pendleton area possible of SC. There is a Daniel in Jackson or Madison county Ga as well. Elbert, Franklin, Madison, Jackson, Habersham, and now one of them is called Banks are all in general vicinity and all of these Morgan families appear to be related including Samuel Morgan Sr. It is my understanding that there are 4 brothers who came over together 1 ended up in CT, 1 in PA, 1 in NJ and the other is unknown. I know that proof has been found that James the Iron Monger of Dunham Furnace is the son of Thomas Morgan and his wife Jenett (unk maiden name). I believe that if Daniel is not James son he may indeed be a cousin. I know there was a Samuel and John Morgan in Salem, Pilesgrove, NJ associated with Garrison family. It appears the Morgan's of Hunterdon, Morris County, Gloucester and Salem, Pilesgrove, NJ are all related. 2nd I find that some of these families branched off to NY and KY and Va and possibly from VA into NC/SC/GA/AL and just about every southern state found through generations and I believe some even went to Arkansas etc... I know that Samuel Morgan jr. has been said to be born in NJ and some believe it is Salem, Pilesgrove although I have not actually seen proof of that, but his brother John is claimed to have been born in Morris County. I also find a Thomas in Ga near them that on census says he is born in NY this is either a typo or misprint or it could be Samuel Sr. ended up in NY briefly. As Samuel Sr. did have a son Thomas. What I also find is that the John and Samuel in Pilesgrove are either brothers and could possibly be Samuel Sr. or they are a generation older. We know that James married a Garrison. There is a Garrison family also associated with Samuel Sr's family. Samuel Sr. married Nancy Hill. There is a Hill family associated in the Carolina's with several Morgan families, There is a Hill family associated with the NY Morgan's, There is a Hill family around Samuel Sr's sons/family in Ga. Note also that so far from my research nobody has been able to determine who Green B. Hill's parentage is he is found in SC. Note also that Samuel Morgan Jr named one of his son's Green "Bush" Morgan. while his brother John named one of his son's John "Bush" Morgan. Also I believe someone has indicated that Samuel Sr. had 3 son's named John/Jonathan/and Jonathan Hill and say that Jonathan Hill is said to be step brother to Samuel Sr.'s kids, but I believe that Jonathan Hill is the son of one of Samuel Sr's sons and I think it is Samuel Jr. I have found a lot of the documentation for Samuel Morgan in Ga is not of Samuel Sr., but is of his son Samuel Jr who appears to be a Justice of Peace. Also people are stating the Samuel in Elbert is Samuel Sr, but most of the family names for Elbert marriages appear to be the children associated with an Isaac/Ishaim Morgan family not sure if Isaac is a father or if he is just one of the brothers or if the father and one of his son's are both named Isaac. One of this families son's is named Samuel and also they have a John. I believe the John who married Nancy Towns in Elbert County Ga 1807 is the one from this said family. Ann Nancy Morgan Hart lived in Elbert County which is important. I believe the Daniel Boone and Nancy Morgan Hart family are cousins as well as the General Daniel Morgan. There also is a John Morgan apparently associated with Green B. Hill in Pendleton SC dates indicate Samuel Sr was already in Franklin County Ga at that time. Either his son John was in SC or with him in Ga and if it wasn't his son John then it was the John that was in Elbert County who married Nancy Towns. Also note that everybody indicates that Samuel Sr. son John Morgan was married to a Sarah or Sally (nickname for Sarah) due to a silly deed in NJ. John was born between 1780 and 1786 and long gone from NJ at the time that deed is showing up nobody knows who John married first, but I have found he married Parina or Panina Hamilton 2nd. The John in NJ that is married to a Sarah is most likely the John that may be brother of the Samuel in Pilesgrove or the son of possible said John of Pilesgrove. I have noticed also that people are stating that the Nancy Morgan who died 1835 in Habersham and is mentioned in paperwork of New Lebanon Presbytarian church now Homer Presbytarian church is the 1st Wife of ?(can't remeber first name (Thomas?))Wesley Garrison. It is not, if it were her the last name would show as Garrison. This Nancy Morgan is Nancy Hill wife of Samuel Morgan Sr. who died 2 years earlier and was an elder to the church. Lot's of names that are located in Ga around all of the Morgan families are same names in PA, NJ, CT areas including Morris which in some records is spelled. One of the names I have not been able to actually connect is Bush which appears to be a family name to the Hill family. Someone thought that the name came from a marriage of a morgan to a Christiana B., but I saw 2 morgan's married to a Christiana somewhere in records...can't remember what county and I believe the last name may have been Bowen/Bowan/Bowman or Boman not Bush. For those trying to find out who John Morgan's first wife is (son of samuel morgan sr.) The high probability is that the records were not recorded with the state of Ga nor the county as at one point in time and I do believe it is about the time he would have married his first wife...it was not required. If anybody has access to the New Lebanon Presbytarian Church now Homer Presbytarian in Homer (BANKS County)Ga old marriage records (if they still exist) you will most likely find the marriage there since that is the church that not only his parents were a member of, but it appears a Hamilton family also who is most likely the family of his second wife. Due to John's age and date his father seems to be in GA. John most likely married in Franklin GA or Habersham which Homer was at one point in time.
