http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/southeast/halloffame/historical_figures/henry_morgan.shtml Sir Henry Morgan Thought to have been born in Llanrumney, then a village between Cardiff and Newport, little is known of his early life. --- In walesdna@yahoogroups.com, > > Guy Sloop <welshdragon62@...> has sent you the following web link: > > A lot of famous Pirates came from Wales, here's about one, Sir Henry Morgan. > It would be something if we could get a dna connection to a pirate. > > > This can be searched but link is broken http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/southeast/halloffame/historical_figures/henry_ morgan.shtml --------------- I have Morgans from Anglesey...William Edward Morgan of Amlwch, Anglesey, a ships' chandler. Wife was Mary Parry, whose father was John Parry of Aberdaron Caernarvonshire, b. in 1726 and mother was ANNE THOMAS (1733-1812)--they moved to Llanpatrick/Llanbadrig, Anglesey after their marriage at her father's home at Rhosgyll Fawr, Eifionydd, Caer.around 1770. I don't think my Morgans are connected to Sir Henry Morgan, the pirate. Betty Pace -- bapace2@juno.com > Notify Administrator about this message?
