Dear Readers,
I am looking for some long lost family members of mine.
Etta Morgan was born in 1898 in Lonoke Co., Arkansas (AR) to W.H. Morgan and Ollie Belle Blassingame. Her father died around 1900 or 1901 and her mother remarried in 1902 (Lonoke Co.) to Ulysses/Ulyses/Les/Liss/Ellis Jackson. Etta was an only child and her mother and Liss didn't have any kids together.
Etta Morgan married Marlin Meredith Morgan on January 17, 1915 in Lonoke Co. He was born March 30, 1890 in Des Arc, Prairie Co., Arkansas to John and Mary Morgan (He had sister Mary & Lula and two brothers think Bill and Allen?). Etta and Marlin (or "MM") had several daughters and moved to Pine Bluff, Jefferson Co., Arkansas.
Their daughters were Mettrell/Metrell Mae Morgan (b. abt. 1915) and married Fred Blasingame in 1935 (Pulaski Co., AR). They later divorced and I don't know what happened to her after that. Then there was Hellen/Helen/Hellon born around 1917, Dorothy born about 1922, Lemoine/Lemoinene born about 1927, and finally Audrey born about 1929.
Unfortunately I don't know what happened to any of these people. My family lost touch with them in the 1930s or 1940s. The last address we have for Marlin and Etta was at 82nd State Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1942.
I have checked the SS Death Index for Marlin and Etta, Lonoke/Jefferson/Pulaski marriage records for the girls and just about all other records imagineable. I can't find a single trace of anybody past the 1930s. I am hoping that one of the daughters (maybe even several or all) is still living and I can make contact to trade some family information and photos that I have.
