Patricia,hi. Just seen your post and want to point out an error you listed. The samuel Morgan who married Charity Vansant was not the Samuel Morgan who married Nancy Hill. These were two distictly different men. The one who married Charity Vansant was one who lived in Middletown and was recorded on Tax lists in Bensamlem Twp.,Bucks County in the 1770's. After Charity died, he remarried a Mary Sands in 1777. He moved to Shamokin Twp., Northumberland County and died, leaving a will after 1810. The other Samuel, my line, was too young in 1762 to have married Charity, he was only 9 years old at the time. His parentage is still unknown at this time as well as the place of his birth. We know he was in NJ at the time of the Revolution. His son Samuel,Jr stated on his 1850 census he was born in NJ. On some Tax Lists of Hanover Twp,Morris County in the years between 1784-1786 was a Samuel Morgan who I believe was him. I need to look up the exact years of those but thats near enough without my papers in front of me. It is not known still if He had a previous wife before Nancy. I descend through both Samuel Morgan Jr and his youngest brother Jonathan Morgan...double the trouble, so to speak.
