Joy - I think that Henry Morgan you talk about in 1790 and 1800 census is Morgan Morgan's son. I also think that the the Henry Morgan which i am going to talk about is the same Henry Morgan. In 1840 Gwinnett Co., Ga. census is a Henry Morgan line 11 age 60 to 70 with one female 60 to 70. Also on line 11 is William Herring ( i would like you to remember the name Herring. Line 12 is Charles Morgan 20 to 30. Now line 29 is William Pool, what some people don't know is William's wife was Miriam Morgan the daughter of Morgan Morgan. So why am i interest in Henry Morgan, well my great great grandfather was Jesse R. Morgan now in 1850 Gwinnett Co. census living next door to William Pool is Jesse R. Morgan wife Caroline ??? both 25 yrs. old and next to Jesse is Joshua Morgan . To start with i think Henry was Jesse's father as well as Joshua. But Jesse is my line -so i will stay with him. Now i have docs. on my line to Jesse. I know that in 1860 Jesse was in Haralson Co. census and that Caroline had died April 1860 in Haralson. By the time 1860 Haralson Census was taken Jesse had married a Sarah ??? and that in their household were children Alonzo, Thomas(Thaddeus Morgan my great grandfather), and Mary S. Morgan. We know from records that Sarah married Jasper Mixon on March 31, 1865 in Carroll Co., Ga. - so Jesse was dead by then ( we haven't found him in Civil War yet, but our guess he died in it.)Now by 1868 we know that Sarah and Jasper Mixon had put the three up for guardianship( it is said that Jasper did not want the three children). Anyway we have guardianship papers and some land records that are proof of this. The children picked Joseph Willis as guardian - Charlotte Willis his sister was married to a Morgan so we are guessing there may bea connection there., but at this time no first name for her husband. In 1870 Alonzo Morgan is in Joseph Willis h/h, Thaddeus Morgan is in Joel Herring h/h ( remember William Herring in 1840 census with Henry Morgan) and Mary S. Morgan in Richard Pate h/h all next to each other in Fulton CO., Ga. census. Now this part i just started get more into - William Herring born 1765 married Margaret Williams. As you know Morgan Morgan wife was Sarah Mary Williams. Sisters ???
