Thanks for your response. My gggg grandmother Hannah Morgan claimed to be the General's sister. She said she had other brothers, David, James, John, and William. She did not say these were her only brothers or mention whether or not she had any sisters. She never mentioned her parents or other family members. I do believe the General was born in New Jersey and have seen the hand written euology of Rev. Hill where he indicates that General Morgan told him he was born in New Jersey of Welsh parents. I have also seen a very old document at the Virginia Historical Society detailing a story about the General visiting an older brother named David, in New Jersey, after the war. As far as I know, there is no real proof as to whom his parents or siblings were. The only documentation I have to support my gggg grandmother's claim are oral family history and a written statement by one of her great grandsons in 1897that he was told personally by her that she was the General's sister. Do you have any documentation?
