3. James, wife Ann, NJ Line, soldier lived in Middlesex County, he served under his father, Capt. James Morgan Sr.Soldier was a member of Congress in 1812. Soldier's brother Lt. Nicholas Morgan was killed in South Amboy, NJ while in the US Service. Soldier's wife, Anna or Catharine VanWickle on 20 Oct 1805. Ann was soldier's second wife (1st wife not named) soldier died 14 Nov 1822 at South Amboy, NJ aged 64y 9mm 16d. Widow applied 26 Dec 1853 at New Brunswick, Middlesex County, NJ aged 70 and she said she was born in said county. He father Simon Van Wickle was a Lt. in the Company in which James Morgan served as an Esign.
4. James Morgan, MA, Sea Service, rejected, applied 1837 NY, aged 75, soldier enlisted at Boston, MA. He served on the "Tartar", he lived in Boston until 1784 then he moved to Hudson, NY, and in April 1804 he moved to NY,NY, soldier was born 29 April 1763 at Huntington, in Suffolk, MA.
5. James Morgan, NC Line, soldier was born 26 April 1760 in Baltimore, MD and he lived in Randolph County, NC at enlistment and later moved to Guilford County, NC and also enlisted there. He applied in Yancy, NC

James Morgan, NC Line, wife Naomi, soldier was born 1 April 1758 in Anson County, NC and he lived there Mecklenburg County, NC at enlistment and afterward moved to Caswell Co., NC and then to Washington County, VA then to Lee County, VA, then to Knoxville, TN., then to Pulaski County, KY then to White County, TN and then to Franklin County, TN., then to Marion County, TN where he applied 15 Feb 1836 and, he had moved to Coffee Co., TN, soldier married Naomi (?) near Monticello in Wayne County, KY in 1806. Soldier died 12 Oct 1851 in Tippah County, MS and his widow applied there in 1858 aged about 67 and she died there 31 Dec 1865. In 1838 soldier referred to a large family of girls and to a son-in-law who had died leaving a large family. In 1844 soldier referred to his children as living in middle TN. And in 1848 he stated he had a son and some daughters who where living and he stated he oldest son was killed in Flordia Indian War (he did not give any of the children's names). Widow had died at te home of daughter Nancy wife of William Kincaid or Kincade and the daughter Nancy was the only surviving child in 1874. Soldier's brothers John and Mark Morgan were mentioned.
7. James Morgan, PA Line and VA Line soldier was born in Frederick County, VA and he lived in Monangalia County, VA, at enlistmen. And he lived in Morgantown VA until 1820 then he moved to IL, he applied 11 March 1835 Vermillion County, Il. Soldier died 1 March 1840, children were referred to but not names. In 1842 a Zackquill Morgan aged 76 and Evan Morgan aged 81 and a David P. Morgan a JP of Monongalia County, VA were memtioned but no relationship given.
8. James Morgan, SC Line, soldier was born 9 March 1760 on the James River, VA, he lived in Fairfield County, SC at enlistment and later moved to Warren County GA then to Franklin County, TN and then to Perry County, AL., where he applied 1 July 1823 in 1842 soldier had lately moved to McNairy County, TN. to live with his children (not named) in 1842, a James H. Morgan was a witness for soldier in McNairy County, TN but no relationship was stated.
