Nancy Major daughter of Bernard Major of Dinwiddie County VA married 1) Francis Moreland. Nancy and Francis moved to Orange County NC. Francis died in 1802. Nancy Major Moreland remarried on December 7 of that year. She married the widowor John Cabe. He was a planter, miller, and a former house of representatives member from Orange County, NC. Nancy died on June 17, 1808. She is buried next to her 2nd husband. John and Nancy Cabe are in the John Cabe Family Cemetary now located in the Eno River State Park, NC.
One of Nancy Major's sisters was Sarah Major Pattillo (wife of Solomon Patillo).
