Genealogy of Morel I have to day indicates 5 feudal lords sent by king to keep Mores out of Europe. They were rewarded with a last name, Morel. The crest of each of the families is available. My immediate family came from France during late 1800s. Grandfather, Henri Auguste Morel, brother; Gustave Morel, eventually settled in Indian Valley and Lodi, CA. Henri Morel was a physician and surgeon who worked at Battle Creek Sanitarium and was a graduate of Philadelphia School of Medicine. Gustave settle in what became Lodi and had several thousand acres of grapes. They originally came from a location near Strausborg, which was French at the time. Their father came with them. I do not have a name for him. I spent much of my early childhood with Henri Morel and his wife, Mabel Frances Stone-Morel. Later located some history of the Morels in "Fromm's Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers". Researched the Waldensens and found the family actively involved in the movement. Unable to find location of ship they arrived on, coming to U.S. from France. Can you help?
Also, would like to know name of father.
