I believe my mother has already uploaded the info. The problem is we know our history for sure only until the mid 1800's and a mysterious Hugh Muir who impregnated Elspeth McMurdo and then disappeared. We had no idea who this Hugh was and where he came from, hence the DNA test. But based on our DNA matches and their locations, I'm 95% sure we descend from the Mures of Caldwell. If I was forced to guess it be from James Mure of Rhoddens, 2nd son of William Mure of Glanderston & Euphemia Mure of Caldwell. This James had 18 children (not sure how many were male) and his second son Samuel changed his last name to Moore after moving to Ireland after becoming a doctor. The Moores of Molenan in N. Ireland originate from him.

Whether they know it or not, a few of our DNA matches that come from Ireland seem to be descendants of this Samuel. And there was a few matches tracing their family back to Ayr, which would be from Mures/Muirs that never went to Ireland. But unfortunately there simply isn't enough information privided by our matches to confirm this. I'm looking for someone who knows for sure they come from the Mures of Caldwell so I can compare DNA. By the end of the Spring I should be finished with my study and would be happy to share with any Moores/Muirs/Mures interested.
