Hi:
Just read this on the NEHGS website. Book Review: Mayflower Bastard: A Stranger Among the Pilgrims, by David Lindsay [Richard's descendant]
R.G. KAINER
I descend from Richard, too. Through the Dodge family, Leonard family, etc. We came to Granville Ferry, NS, in 1760.Richard had visited Annapolis Royal, next door to GF, back in 1669 when the British held the colony before returning it to France.
Today I live close by, across the water from AR & GF, in a small town called Digby, a full circle for Richard, in a manner of speaking.
I have seen Mr. D. Richardson's work, at least snippets of it.Just wrote a friend that I descend from St. Margaret of Scotland.I doubt that fact will give me much added benefit since I don't think my friend is too religious.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Daryl
