Al,

Here is my 4th G. Grandfather, BENJAMIN HINSON's will in which he listed his daughter "SALLY FIELDS" ( SARAH/ SALLY HINSON FIELDS who is my 3rd G. Grandmother who md. JAMES FIELDS of Anson Co. NC.) It is SARAH/ SALLY HINSON FIELDS mother, MOURNING MOORMAN who md. BENJAMIN HINSON and thus is my 4th G. Grandmother, , and I would very much like to verify MOURNING MOORMAN's parents if we can. Here is the will of her husband BENJAMIN HINSON my 4th G. Grandfather. BENJAMIN HINSON and MOURNING MOORMAN also had a daughter they named MOURNING/ MORNING HINSON. - Tina Rogers Beller

SALLY / SARAH HINSON b. abt. 1778 Anson Co. NC and died March 17, 1830 in Carroll Co. TN. She married JAMES FIELDS b. 1771 NC who died on Sept. 20, 1815 in Anson Co. NC, and then Sarah/ SALLY HINSON FIELDS moved to Carroll Co. TN with her adult children and their families. James Fields b. 1771 NC d. Sept. 20, 1815 was son of SMITH FIELDS b. 1740 either in Onslow Co. NC or BARBADOS and his wife ELIZABETH UNKNOWN. The FIELDS family had lived on Barbados since at least 1666 to about 1738-1740 when they are then in Onslow Co. NC. Smith Fields b. 1740 was son of RICHARD FIELD and ANN KIRTON who have St. Philip Parish Records in Barbados. The Field family is considered to be the Del A Field family of France to England and became FIELD family in England and in Barbados, and the name changed once again when RICHARD FIELD arrived in Onslow Co. NC and it changed to be FIELDS from then on. As I can find nothing to really verify that Benjamin and Mourning Moorman had a daughter named MERCY HINSON, I have not listed her but others have listed MERCY HINSON b. 1776 the daughter of Benjamin Hinson and Mourning Moorman as well.
