Henry, Thanks for your response. I believe that Pleasant Moorman was the son of Silas and Sallie Moon Moorman Gilbert. He was the father of Elinor Moorman Ennis who was my GGGGrandmother. I am trying to sort through the Moorman's of that period to determine when Pleasant died and if he had a will that might name his children. I would love it if you could share what you know of the Pike County families. I do know that several families left Hancock County and went to Pike in or about 1825-1830. Thanks for whatever help you can give!
