Most of our relatives are also from Lynchburg. Distressingly we have not been able to connect with any "live" Fords. My G, g, g grandfather William A. Ford
(former Confederate Soldier wounded at 7 Pines, VA) was a tobacconist and in business with the Moorman's. One of the company names was Ford, Moorman & Co. William was involved in tobacco, coal, wood and ice. A couple of the names we have come across from obituaries Winnington L. Moorman whose wife was Ottie C. Ford (died 2/1903?). I believe Watkins L. Moorman (wife Ella E. Ford) was the father of William A. Moorman. There may be more Ford/Moorman marriages. Possible a F.C. and W.C. Moorman mentioned in an obituary. Sorry I don't know more but would be interested if anyone has any knowledge about the Ford/Moorman descendants, enterprises, or inheritances. Regards! JHF JHoustonFord1@comcast.net
