Hi Jean! I hope I can remember all of this! I haven't been on these sites or looked at the census records in years, but I would like to start up again and get organized! Let's see, if I remember, am a direct descendant of Ezekiel Jr's younger brother Alfred John Moores, Sr. who begat Alfred John Moores, Jr. and John Alfred Moores. I believe there were 9 older children of Alfred Sr & Rheumina Smith, who was Lydia (Smith) Moores's sister (14 total Smith children). Lydia Smith of course married Capt. Ezekiel Moores, Jr. Anyway, after Rheumina died, Alfred Sr then married Rebecca Smith, her sister. If I remember correctly from some research I did about 4 yrs ago, there were 11 total children of Alfred John Moores, Sr. I am descended from Alfred John Moores, Jr who married Grace Caples Howell, in Tiffin, OH & begat 4 children: Mildred Leenore, Maurine Catherine, Maxine Jean, and Eugene Alfred Moores. Eugene is my grandfather. It's pretty difficult to keep everyone straight when they recycle names, as they did back then, and when the farming families were so large. :o) You may also find more information regarding this family if you search around Fostoria, OH, I believe.
