Hi. My name is Lucio Fernández Moores. I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. 39 years old, journalist. Sorry for my english. It's not the best. As you see, I'm a member of Moores. The mother (Blanca Nicolasa Moores, dead) of my father (Guillermo Jorge Fernández Moores, dead) was son of William Henry Moores. William Henry Moores came here, to Argentina, from Baltimore, Maryland (born 1825, he came at 16 years old and he died at 1891), and he married here, in Bs. As, twice. The first time with a woman called Horne (surname) (they had between 3 and 5 daughters) and when she died, the second time, with a woman called Blanca Lanusse (or Lanus), a french surname. With this woman they had three children. One of them is Blanca Moores, my dead grandmother. I never knew her. Because of my job (on Clarin newspaper), an english woman called Laura Daniel (she lives on France) wrote me at my e-mail adress (lfmoores@clarin.com), surprised of my second surname, and telled me that her grand-grand-mother (I don't know how to express it in english; I mean, the mother of her grandmother)was born at Argentina and then went to England. She's a descendant of the first marriage of William Henry Moore. We discovered that we are cousins (primos, in spanish). The father of William Henry Moores was called George Washington Moores and he also was born at Baltimore, near 1800. As I found at Internet, he served the US Navy. My question is: ¿is there anybody from the same line of my family? ¿Does anybody know something about the Moores that came to Argentina? ¿Who is the first Moores that got USA? ¿Was he from Ireland, as my father told me, or where? I hope somebody answer at least one of my questions. Thanks. Notify Administrator about this message?
