Goggin book for sale
“Mark Twain and 8100 Goggin Kin” This is a hard back book 8 1\2 X 11 with 472 pages of thick long life paper. Over $800.00 was spent on DNA proving the various lines. Mark Twain’s grandmother, Parmelia [Pamela] Goggin born in Bedford Co., VA. Oct 31, 1775 married Samuel Clemens Oct 29,1797. The book for the most part follows Pamela Goggin Clemens grandfather, Stephen Goggin born abt 1726-28 died 1794 and his seven known children. He was married two times, 1st Lettice Boyd then Susannah Terry a widow. I also record the descendants of perhaps two nephews and a sister. His children were Stephen III who m. Rachel Mooreman Dec 21, 1773, John who m. Lucinda Branch Sept 8, 1777, Elizabeth who m. James Trenor April 14, 1786, Sarah who m. Thomas Dougherty June 15, 1778, Lettice who m. William Dougherty Mar. 28, 1786, Richard who m. Nancy Jane Irvin[e] Nov 2, 1791 and Robert who m. Sarah Irvin[e] Feb 7, 1794. William was shown in the records with Stephen Senior, but his birth date conflicts with Richard as both were born in Nov 1761, Richard on Nov 28 and William Nov 8, throwing us a curve ball. William m. Drucilla Jackman Dec 8, 1885. Mary born abt 1740 was associated with Stephen Sr. and was perhaps a sister. She m. Martin Stemmons and the book has many of her descendants.
