I'm not even certain that it's the same person, but, maybe, . . . .
Apparently, William died shortly after 1875 because, in 1880, Celia, 38, was married to Henry Harp, 39, and Guy L. Mooney, 16, was also in the family as Henry Harp's stepson (Penn Township, Osborne Co, KS, page 256A). Guy reported his birthplace as WI and his father's birthplace as NY. Celia reported her birthplace as NY. This is consistent with other reports of birthplace by Guy and by his son Allen. According to records, Guy and his wife Mary are buried in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Edmond, OK, plots 017B-072-SE and NE.
I am not related to the Wiliam Mooney or Guy Mooney, but I am interested because of the marriage of Guy's son Allen Ray Mooney to Cora Leona Alexander. Allen, Cora, and family moved to CA, where many of the family lived until they died. Allen and Cora's children included Clifford Duane, Ivan Earl, and one whose intials were I. Z.
I'm primarily interested in tracing Cora's brothers in the hope of getting an Alexander male descendant to take a YDNA test to show his relationship to me.
