Lewis Mooney related to Daniel Mooney and others
Hello,
I haven'tposted any Mooney queries in awhile, but I have received from the Family History Library a copy of the Baptisms for the Dead which shows the relationships among several of the Mooney families in Georgia. The submitters for baptism are the family of James Marion Mooney, b 1848 and d. 1935 in Utah. James Marion lists a number of deceased relatives and gives his relationship to them.Among the Mooneys are Ransom Smith and Joseph (brothers);Martin and Jonathan (nephew); Adolphus and Peter ( cousin); Lewis (my ggfather) and William (2nd cousin).I was told by a skilled researcher that since the list does not show 1st cousin once removed that this could be the relationship. Additionally, Mary Jane Mooney Stanley lists her relationships to certain Mooneys as follows: Nancy (great niece); Rhoda (great niece); Catherine and Mary Jane (2nd cousin).Other family members are listed as well. Can anyone connect my Lewis (also spelled Louis), who according to this list died in Floyd County in 1873 with these other family members?I believe that it could show that Lewis was his father. My ggrandfather Lewis married Elizabeth Permecia Loveless in 1852 in Cass (Bartow) County GA.She remarried (to Elisha Crisman in Gordon County) before 1880 and her four Mooney sons are living with them in 1880. I would appreciate any help anyone could provide.
