James Mooney, Luzerne County, PA
I am looking for the Mooney family that came from Ireland and arrived in the Luzerne County area (Warrior Run, Plymouth, Alden, Nanticoke) in time for the 1880 census.Brothers James (age 45) and Patrick (age 43) lived in separate houses on Railroad St in Warrior Run.
Patrick was married to Bridget (age 33 in 1880).
James (b. 1835) died in the coal mines in 1897,
His wife Anny/Anna (b. abt 1848) died between 1900-1909.
Their children are: James (1885-abt 1933); Bridget (b. 1887) and Patrick (b. 1890).
James II married Harriet Baker.Their children:
James III (1914-1955); Beatrice (b. 1917); and Charles (younger than Beatrice).
James III married Kathleen Kennedy (1916-1981).Their children:Kathleen (b. 1939), Peggy (b. 1941), James IV (b. 1942) and John Charles (1951-1981).
Beatrice married Clement Antosh.Their children: Gerald and Wayne.
Charles married Marge.Their children: Mark and a daughter, maybe Tricia?
I am looking for any information about Harriet, Beatrice, Charles and their families after 1955 (we lost contact after James III's death).
Also, I can't find where James I and II are buried. They are not in St. Mary's, which is the big Catholic cemetery in the area.
Plus any older info going back to Ireland.
Any new info would be great.
Thanks--Colleen
