James Moonan (Lambertville, NJ)is my grandfather. I believe he was born in 1899 - he always said he was born "a year ahead of the year" I am going to Ireland and am looking to see where the Moonan's came from but when you look at the Irish surnames they don't have a Moonan - just Mooney or Noonan. Do you know if Moonan came from one of those?
