DNA results -- Sevier County TN Moons

Hi-

I recently received the results for my DNA testing, and I wanted to post what I found. I am descended from the Sevier County TN branch of the Moon family, from William and Sophie who appeared in Sevier Co. by the late 1790s.

The biggest conclusion I can draw so far is that our branch of the Moons does seem to connect back to the Bucks County PA Moons (or their ancestors). My DNA has a strong match with people who have a clear paper trail to John and Joan Burgess Moon. Of course, DNA doesn't prove who the ancestor was, but it seems that my DNA is in the same line as those.

I posted my results on ysearch.org, and you can see them at http://www.ysearch.org/search_view.asp?uid=GEFBR&viewuid=GEFBR&p=1.

Part of my info is posted on worldfamlies. On their "patriarchs" page (http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/moon/pats), my info is marked with a red M-28. Right now, they have not posted my results on the YDNA page there, but I have a close match (24/25 markers) with the person with the IDs M-6.
