Will dated [1] April 1833, proved 2 May 1833 by the oath of the witnesses ALEXANDER MOODY and Thomas ANDERSON, the execotors having renounced. Entire estate, including LOT 1425 in Sydney Ward where l reside, to daughter Mary BAIRD and Martha BAIRD, Friends John CLARKE and John SHERRARD executors. Witnesses; ALEXANDER MOODY, Thomas ANDERSON, Robert ROBERTSON jr. On 17 February 1834 Martha BAIRD, spinster, petitioned the Probate Court stating the executors had declined to prove the will and praying that administration be granted to Thomas SANDALL, merchant of Saint John. Administration granted 24 February 1834. MOODY JAMES; Parish of Norton Kings Co. Intestate. Administration granted 7July 1829 to Joseph Moody of Norton. Fellow bondsman John Denniston [signed"Deniston"] of Kings County. Inventory, dated 7 July 1829, valued at 60 pounds. YOUNG, MOSES Parish of Prince William, York Co. Farmer. Will dated 27 October 1834, proved 10 December 1834, Wife Mary one-thrid of estate, brother Stephen YOUNG maintenance for life. Daughter Lydia MOODY, Maria SAUNDERS and Elizabeth MOODY each one pound. Son Samuel YOUNG 15 pounds.Daughter Jerusha YOUNG 6 pounds at age 18 and maintenance untilmarried. Son Daniel Cook YOUNG 50 pounds at age 21. Sons Gideon and joel Young residue of estate, Joel YOUNG, Thomas W.SANDERS and Archibald MOODY executors. Witnesses; John INGRAHAM, R obert MICHAEL, Daniel HOYT. CRAIG, Samuel City of Saint John, St. John Co., Blacksmith. Died 16 October 1829 intestate.
