Thank You Paul for that tid bit of Moody info. on Wm. Moody, Esq. of Roe House.
I am wondering now if he is a descendant of the following families I am currently researching...perhaps you might know about this branch.
A Robert BAIRD (spelled 'Beard' in the old records), married Martha MOODY a daughter of William MOODY who was a merchant. All of these folks were from Limavady, Co. L'derry and this marriage took place in "1752".

I am wondering if This particular William MOODY might have been the Father of a John MOODY of Limavady who was also a "merchant" and who had a son named William MOODY that was born in 1791 in the Limavady area as well.

These Moody's and Baird's all have to have links back to the Abercorn Estate in Strabane, Co. Tyrone as well as in Co. Donegal.

There were also BAIRD's mentioned in Co. Antrim, NI as well which is another area that we have MOODY links as proven via Ydna results.

I know you said the Moody's were not your family, but I didn't know if perhaps you might have inter-marriage links with some of the same families that we do if you have connections in Nor. Ireland as well.
We have just recently found out that our line of Moody's (prob. originally spelled MOODIE or Mudie), came over from the Fifeshire area of Scotland. We pretty well knew that our Moody's were from Scotland as we've shared No ydna with any of the loads of English born or descended Moody's at all.

Our lines are intermarried with the McQuiston's, Watson's, Wilson's, Crawford's, Jackson's, Leslie's, Getty's, Patterson's, Hemphill's (we're pretty sure this branch of Moody's that link to them are part of our Ydna family too), Hopkins, Polk (found spelled as Pollock, Poke, Poage etc in early records), Hutchison/Hutchinson, and scads of others that have intermarried with our particular line of Moody's from Nor. Ireland who don't appear to have been there much before c1665. Some of the earliest records of those Moody's who I believe to link to our descendants, the name is found spelled in the old 1600's and early 1700's records as MOODIE (mostly) and Mudie in others. It then later became more commonly spelled as Moody.

If you have links to any of these lines, it would be great to learn more about them. Thanks again for your reply and information. Every little bit helps.
