John Moody, NC, CT/Mary McApline

I noticed a post of John Moody born in CT (1798) and living in Rowan county, NC by 1850 census. I know he married Mary A McAlpine, but I can find no other information regarding John's previous generations or his wife's. I was wondering if anyone could help. Thanks, Sharyn
