I should have mentioned that the 7th MA Reg. was also known as the 6th MA Regt. (I'm not sure why the switching in regiment numbers took place).
However, my James' card states he was in the 7th MA Reg. of the Rev. War.
This Regiment was at Ticonderoga under Capt. Daniel LANE and early on Col. Ichabod ALDEN's regiment.
My James would have been at the Cherry Valley Massacre.
