Hi Debbie,
Yes, this is Great! This is a line of MOODY's that goes back to the Limavady area of Co. L'derry where we KNOW we had Moody's and other family members come from in Nor. Ireland.
I have been trying to find out more on these two Half-Brothers for quite a while now, but as I could get no further than their father John MOODY who owned a bleach green in Co. L'derry, NI, and the fact that he was married at least twice, first wife Unknown name (and the mother of the elder son William), and John's 2nd wife was a widow woman whose maiden name was Parkinson or Perkinson or something like that, but who was the widow of a William KENNEDY), it was this 2nd wife Eleanor/Elinor/Ellen who was the mother of the younger brother Robert MOODY.
John and Elinor also had a daughter Elizabeth MOODY who later came over to PA (that's where William and Robert MOODY came as they had an Aunt and Uncle who were living in PA that they stayed with).

Robert was adventurous and always on the Go it seems and while still a young man in his 20's was traveling up the Ohio River and somewhere in or very near Minnesota he died.
I don't know how or of what. Anyway, William MOODY and his descendants ended up all over the place and some of them became exceedingly wealthy. His son Joseph for one made a fortune during the Gold Rush years in CA and others were into all sorts of very lucrative ventures in life.

Anyway, that's just some of the info I've learned about this family over the last couple of years. I don't know if we link to this branch of Moody's or not, but its entirely possible given the area of Nor. Ireland that they came from and the fact that they came to PA and some of them settled in the very areas where we were known to have other Ydna Moody families living at the same time.
However, that doesn't prove anything and might just be coincidental, but it sure leans towards Strong Supportive Evidence in my book.
Thanks for the info.
