Thanks Debbie, I wish there were more records of the Early Moody's attending these churches. I am only interested in those Moody's Pre-1800. After 1800 most all of our Ydna Moody's with the exception of the one participants family from Co. Antrim who came to the Western part of PA in the mid to latter 1800's, most all of our other ydna Moody participants ancestors seemed to have come before 1800 or early in the 1800's. However, most of them including my own James seems to have come in the early to mid 1700's Before the outbreak of the Rev. War. I think most of those old records have been lost. I would also like to find more definitive records of those Moody's (all spellings) who came FROM SCOTLAND to Nor. Ireland. Or to at least be able to distinguish them from any who might have been in Nor. Ireland that were from England....IF there were any in Nor. Ireland from England. I bought a book over the weekend on Irish History which stated that the Scots, when they came over from Scotland were Forbidden by Law (penalty for breaking this rule was Death), to marry any English or Irish...they HAD to marry their own kind, so my thinking is that since we already Know our Moody's married into the McQuiston family and so many other proven Scottish families that our MOODY's must also have been of a Scottish line. I have no idea if that's absolutely true or not, just what I read and we know you can never completely trust anything you read. I should check up on that one. Thanks again for the info you've posted. A LOT of it is already posted here and has been posted by me and many others, but thanks for the refresher. Notify Administrator about this message?
