Hi Art,
Gosh, I had you Completely mixed up with another Arthur Moody on the Ydna page. I see now that you are the one with the extremely unique E1b1...HaploType.
My apologies...I will start over searching, but here is what I found regarding your family which is probably nothing new to you, but you never know it might lead to someone else finding out that they relate to you as well.
1930 Dowells?/Darvills?, Dinwiddie Co., VA Census
Arthur M. MOODY - white- male- age 39- married at age 28 b. VA VA VA - general farmer
Gracie R. wife age 43 white female married at age 31 b. VA VA VA
Arthur M., Jr. son white male age 10 b. VA
Frederick ? R. son age 7 b. VA
and John C. MOODY son 1 yr. old b. VA

Your Exact matching person - MOODY -
1880 Hendren, Washington Co., KY - June 17th
Benjamin MOODY - white - male- age 75 (b.c1803) tin smith b. Dist. of Col.- VA - Dist. of Col. (so he was b. in Wash. DC, his Father was born in VA and his Mother b. in Wash. DC)
Benjamin is living with a Hison FREEMAN white male age 34 farmer b. KY KY KY
Susan M. (nee MOODY) white female age 30 b. KY VA KY plus their 5 kids.

I see that your earliest ancestor was a Richard L. MOODY b.c1800, so he and the other participant's Benjamin MOODY were born around the same time (he around c1803).
I see that your exact matching MOODY's earliest known ancestor was a John MOODY b.c1780 in MD they have but Benjamin says his father was born in VA so who knows?
Perhaps parts of VA were in MD or the Dist. of Columbia or vice versa, I'm not familiar enough with VA history to know where the boundary lines were in the late 1700's and early 1800's etc. Benjamin MOODY also stated that his mother was born in Washington DC.
I have no idea how close Dinwiddie Co., VA is to DC, but its Possible that your Richard L. MOODY's father (who ever he may have been) could have been a Brother of your exact matching Ydna MOODY's - earliest ancestor John. [Note- I just looked at a map and see that Dinwiddie Co. is no where near Washington DC its down in the southeastern region of the state not far from the NC border and not too far inland from Norfolk and the water, but that still doesn't rule out the fact that you do share an exact match with another MOODY of whom you never knew you were related to until the Ydna results came back, so that is Great and hopefully you will have more participants from both of your lines emerge and be willing to do the dna test too. That's why its So Important to Share your Genealogical lineage lines on the Moody Surname Project page so that it might encourage others to come out and participate to see if they actually do match to those lines already represented.

The fact that you share a near match to a MILLER of Scotland is interesting too and don't discount those close matches at the 37 marker level. It could be that IF that Mr. Miller doesn't match to anyone else of his own surname, that he is actually a MOODY too. We have a case of that amongst our branch of Moody's where I have a near match to someone of another surname all the way out to 60/67 marker level and we Have found Links between our family trees several times over and its well documented due to both of them being among Presidential lineages.
FTDNA continues to tell us that the documented genealogy far outweighs the genealogical mismatching of markers when it comes to our research, so that is why I don't pay much attention anymore to those Mismatches among Same Surnames or even the Close results that are Not of the same surname.

Have you been able to find out anything further on your unique HaploType? Even Google didn't have anything about it that I could find, but I am not too good with Google Searching either.

I'll search around a bit more for info on your Richard L. MOODY. I think in early SC there were Richard MOODY's, I wonder if your branch had some ties there?

Well this is getting lengthy. I'll let you know if I find anything, and will post it here if I do.
