On pg. 280 of Leona B. McQUISTON's book (noted on this board several times) I found the following entry -
Elizabeth L. McCUISTON (this spelling) daughter of William A. -
she was b. in 1842 Calloway Co., KY and married in 1860 to James MOODY a farmer near Buchanan, Henry Co., TN. She died in 1910.
Their Children:
Elmina m. Mr. PHILLIPS
Jane
Tom
Lou
Ada m. Mr. CRASS
Geoge
Jack
Charles
Ethel m. Mr. NANCE
Newton-a twin - (there's that name again)
and ALLEN MOODY (twin to above Newton)
Thought the name Allen Moody ~might~ be significant since I just showed the marriage between a McQuistan and a MOODIE in Greenock, Scotland. However, William Allen McCuistan was Elizabeth's father full name. He was born in 1811 North Carolina and married 1st to Elizabeth ELLISON in KY.
Wm. married 2nd to widow Eliza GRANGE.

William Allen McCuiston was son of Thomas McCUISTON b. 1772 in Guilford Co., NC who married Nancy JOHNSON of Rockingham Co., NC and this Thomas was known as "Reedy Fork Tom" to separate him from other Thomas McCuiston's in the same area.
This "Reedy Fork" Thomas was a son of Walter McCUISTON and Walter was a son of Robert 1 McCUISTON.

VERY Interesting is the mention in Leona's book (pg. 177) that Robert McCUISTON's date and place of birth are not known but tradtiont among his descendants in PA state he was born in Paisley, RENFREWSHIRE, Scotland!!
Paisley is just West of Greenock but still in that west of Glasgow region coming out the Clyde riverway that so many sailed away from.
Soooo, this gives strong support that the Isabella McCUISTAN and Allan MOODIE of Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland were very possibly descendants of this early Robert McCUISTAN and the MOODY's to whom they earlier intermarried with.
I'm off to see if I can find out who Allan MOODIE's parents were.
I'll be back if I find more.
