Here are some more from the IGI records With Sources ~
BATCH # M119577 - Isabella McQUISTAN (spelled that way) married Allan MOODIE on Nov. 25, 1843 in Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland. This is a later date but it shows that these families were probably still marrying even after their early ancestors had come over to Nor. America (perhaps they were descendants of Thomas MOODY b.c1710 in/of Aghadowey/Aghanloo?, Co., L'derry, Nor. Ireland and Jean McQUISTON).

Another BATCH #M116171 of Straiton, Ayr, Scotland
John McQUESTEN married Susan ALEXANDER June 8, 1864
also in this same town, Same Church -
James MOODIE m. Ann McCONNOCHIE on March 3, 1870

Then in another BATCH # M115588
James McQUISTAN son of Daniel McQUISTAN married Margaret McCONACHY (NOTE same surname that James MOODIE married in 1870 only spelled a bit differently) married on Dec. 3, 1831 Rothesay, Bute, Scotland.
HOWEVER...there may have been an ENTRY ERROR with this particular marriage because while the SOURCED entry shows that James McQUISTAN son of Daniel married Margaret, another entry with NO Sources shows that it was Daniel McQUISTAN who married Margaret McCONACHY in Dec. 1831. ???
CAUTION ADVISED

Same Batch (M115588) shows a James McQUISTAN also son of Daniel McQUISTAN marrying a Janet DUNCAN on Jan. 19, 1854 in Rothesay, Bute, Scotland which is Probably the Same James son of Daniel and probably the Corrected Entry from the one previously noted.

There were also a few McQUESTEN's listed in Inch, Wigtown, Scotland - Batch M118862 but I didn't see any Moodie's of any spelling listed there.

And just to give a location as to where Greenock, Renfrewshire was that Allan MOODIE and McQuistan bride lived or were married in...Its East of Glasgow on the Firth of Clyde and North of Ayrshire. Scads of ships sailed out of Greenock in the 1700's bringing passengers to Nor. America and also bringing Tobacco back from VA to Scotland.
