My g-g-grandfather William Moody was born around 1817; Robert was born in 1822 or 1824; died 1908 in Riley County, Kansas. Martha Ann Barber was born about 1819. Their daughter (my great-grandmother) was born in 1843, died in 1928 in Hickory, NC. She was married at a very young age to Randy Van Buren Taylor, also from Caldwell County, NC (Lower Creek area). My grandmother, Zana Mae, was born in 1875, died in 1959, married Pinkney Albert Hefner in 1900.
The only living [last name] "Moody" descendants that I know of would be those belonging to Robert H. (Henry, I think) Moody, brother of William, who lived near Manhattan, Kansas. I believe there are still some of the family living there; I have not been in touch with them in probably 20 years, when I called to confirm that they are descended from Robert.
