Hey! Anyone out there related to me, maybe? LOL !!! I don't have many names as a background. But it would be really awesome if I could connect to someone who might lead me to some background.
I was born ( 1960 ) and raised in Dalhart, Tx. as was my mother Vickie Luera. My biological father is Leroy Joe Gallegos who was born in Roy, NM but now lives in Colorado. I think his parents names were Adam and Euphelia Gallegos.
My maternal grandmother was Estefanita (FANNIE) Montoya Luera. She was born in Logan, New Mexico. She met and married Nick Luera and they moved to Dalhart back in the early 1920's. My grandmother Fannie Montoya's mother's maiden name was Gallegos ( a different family from my biological Leroy Gallegos dad I mention above )
This is about all that I know. I was very close with my grandparents Fannie and Nick Luera.
Even though I now live in Amarillo, Texas - Dalhart is still home. It is only 90 miles away. LOL !! I moved from Dalhart to Amarillo when I was 23 years old.
