Hi again, Tina!
Here's the info that my grandmother gave me (I received this when my grandfather, Napoleon, was still alive; Athena did all of his writing for him, however, as his Parkinsons progressed):
Nap & Manuel's mother, Miguela, met a man named Abraham Tellers. It doesn't say if they got married, but she and Nap moved with him to Half Moon Bay, and then Pescadero, California, where he purchased a farm with cash over a handshake.Nap had persuaded Micky to go, as they were living a very rough life, and she had already attempted suicide twice, and also, they would be able to visit Manuel who was stationed nearby Fort Ord in the Salinas/Monterey area. The man ran away with the money for the farm, and they moved from Pescadero to Santa Cruz (this would have been around the late 30s/early 40s, as Nap was in Junior High around then.
Mickey heard Abe talking in his sleep about his 4 children that she later learned he had given away to relatives when his wife died. She insisted that he sent for them, and from then on, she raised and loved them as her own.
They names were: Dale Tellers, the eldest, used to having to take of himself, a tough boy.Rosie Tellers was the second child, and is still in contact with Athena, only she is now Rosie Arana (husband, Bob) in Ladi, California; she has 2 sons and a daughter. The twins were the youngest: Joe and Marcella Tellers.Joe later married, and had at least 1 son.Marcella was more talkative than her sister, but died of cancer as Marcella Thiel, having had 2 daughters and several grandchildren surviving her in Santa Cruz.
That's all that I have in regards to those 4-- they weren't related by blood, but Miguela adopted them as her own children.More info later?
Take care,
Bonnie
