Shepard, I am a great grandson of a William L. Montgomery in Union Parish who I believe is the same as your great-great grandfather. However, I do not know about a marriage to a Mary Creath. The listing I have is for a Mary Jones. There seems to be a close relationship between the Montgomery and Creath families so I am wondering if Mary had been married before. Or perhaps this is William L's second marriage?? I think Mary Jones died prior to the move to Union Parish. Look forward to hearing from you.
