I don't know if you saw a reply I posted to Eileen, but I found from my Aunt that Vaso is his nickname. Knowing that it's a shortened version of other names, I suppose that's not a big surprise to anyone that might have done a lot of geneology research in this area.

I know that Vasilije and Vasil are two of the longer names, do you know of any others? What about Veaslo or Veselin? I believe I sent Robert a response to a previous post as well.

Roko thinks on the Ellis Island manifest that the mother listed for Vaso is Milica and that it's a common name. Do you know if it's also a German name? I was told that Vaso's mother was German.
