Hi,
I'm writing from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. My family name is Vranes and in Bosnia it had been changed to Vranjes, after my ancestors moved from Croatia to Bosnia. In Croatia they were Vranes, and they lived in region Lika (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lika), around the mountain "Mala Kapela" near to cites Brinje and Otocac. We believe that our roots are from Montenegro, around the river Lim, and that we came to Lika with the Great migration of Serbs with orthodox patriarch Arsenije III Carnojevic. I would like to know is there anyone with family name Vranes (or Vranjes) who have roots from Lika, Croatia.
