My Monty ancestors are from this area also. The earliest is CHRISTOPHER MONTY born around 1778 in Dutchess Co., NY. His wife was named MARY and she was born in Clinton County. They had a daughter named HARRIET MONTY b. 1827-1830 in Clinton Co., NY. HARRIET married JULIUS BLONGEY ...aka... BELANGER. Does anyone have any information on CHRISTOPHER MONTY or the BLONGEY / BELANGER family???
