Luzerne County Pa Montanyes

My grandfather's name was Louis Montanye. He was born in 1891 in Pa, his father was born in Pa, and his mother was born in Ohio. He spelled his name various ways, Montanye, Montony, Montaney and later in life went by the name Lamont. In 1920, he was on the census as a roomer in Scranton, but my mother said his family was supposedly from Kingston,Pa. I know very little about him since he and my grandmother, Gertrude Smink, were married for only a short time 1922-1923. He was in La Jolla, CA after WWII, and we went out there to live, but only stayed a short time, and came back to PA. It is thought he then went to Canada, but we have never heard from him since. After he was divorced from my grandmother, he married again and had another daughter, then divorced her. Does anyone have any clues for me?
