The original Montalvo's from San Benito date back quite some time. I have a lineage from the originals. San Benito Montalvo is my grandfather. And yes, the old lumber co. belonged to him at one pt. It now belongs to a cousin. My grandfather's fathers name is Ismael Montalvo died in 1967. From the stories I have heard as a child, I know that my great grandfather was a great businessman. He dealt w/ many businesses across in Mexico. I am not certain as to the lineage from my great grandfather. The most I have gathered from the elders is that there was a fallout of some sort b/w my great grandfather and his immediate family. How true is that, I don't know. We hardly got any info on my great grandfather other than the fact that he was a very quite person. He was also a wealthy man in his time whom had colored eyes and light skin. He married an esparza. If I am not mistaken, he may have been from san isidro; but I am unsure. w/b and let me know what you find
