There is one more very important Estate I neglected to list~~ Sorry famly.

Lackham Manor-Lacock Abbey: (Wiltshire)

This property belonged to the Baynard family, of Baynard Castle. James Montagu, 3rd son of Henry Montagu, 1st Earl of Manchester, married Mary Baynard, dau of Robert Baynard in 1635 and was her marriage portion. This estate included several thousand acres, the village of Lacock and the Abbey. It was in the Lackham Montagu family posession until the later part of the 19th century, when it was sold to the county. The Manor house is now the main building of an agricultural college, and the village and Abbey belong to the National Trust of England.
The Abbey is the resting place of many Lackham Montagus, and three wall memorial plates mounted inside the Abbey Chapel attest to this.
This would be a must see for all of us descended from this line.

Cheers,
Karen
