Hi, I just saw the blank in your posting for the surname of Lettice, wife of William Montague of Middlesex, VA and mother of Abraham Montague of Middlesex and Essex, VA.
The identity of Lettice has been established as Lettice Weeks, daughter of Abraham Weeks, who was a Burgess and a vestryman at Christ Church, Middlesex. From another genforum posting:
"In the Middlesex County Deed Book 3, 1703-1709, "Milicent Weekes, widdow of Abraham Weekes, late of County of Middlesex deced do appoint my loveing friend Henry Goodlow my true and lawful Attorney, etc." She mentions "my son in law Wm Montague and Lettice his wife" in a paper signed by George Goodlow."
After William Montague and Lettice married, they named their eldest son "Abraham," probably after his maternal grandfather Abraham Weeks. This was the first occurrence of the name "Abraham" among descendents of Peter Montague.
