A number of years ago, a Montague surname DNA project was started at relativegenetics.com, but it never really seemed to get off the ground. Then Relative Genetics partnered with Ancestry.com, and some people who had tested with Relative Genetics were disgruntled-- wanting to opt out of the Ancestry.com affiliation. Time is passing, and nothing seems to be happening with the Montague surname project.
There is now a fledgling Montague surname project at Ancestry.com. To sweeten the pot: now through September 30, 2008, Ancestry.com-- the successor in interest to Relative Genetics-- is offering 50% off for DNA testing (both paternal and maternal) for ancestry.com subscribers, with an additional 20% off for people with a "world" subscription. Now seems like an ideal time for us to get organized. Any thoughts?
