This is in response to your post about Mildred Elizabeth Montague and your post about Howard Montague. They were siblings, children of Philip Montague and Elizabeth Williams. Howard was born OCT-1810 in Middlesex Co., VA and died JUN-09-1876 in Essex Co. VA, according to information given me. His sister was born DEC-01-1808 in Middlesex Co. and died MAY-08-1881 in Gloucester Co. VA. The father of Columbia Broaddus was the well-known Baptist minister, and her mother, Jane Honeyman, was Andrew's third wife. She was the daughter of Robert Honeyman, and she was also the sister of Andrew's second wife, Lucy Honeyman. Jane Honeyman was the widow of Christopher Broaddus when she married Andrew. (Christopher's father, Reuben, was an older brother of Andrew, and his mother was Elizabeth Garland.) Edwin Broaddus, who married Elizabeth Montague, was the son of William Broaddus and Elizabeth Motley. William was a first cousin to Andrew Broaddus, which means that Edwin Broaddus and Columbia Broaddus were second cousins. I know this is rather confusing, but, as you can see, they kept it all in the family.
