The history and lineage of Thomas Bell Monroe is very well documented. I am a direct descendant. He was born in Albermarle, VA 1792, was the son of Andrew Monroe and Ann Bell, daughter of Capt. Thomas Bell. Please refer to previous information posted regarding recent documented guardianship papers and will regarding Andrew's being William Monroe and Rachel Piper. Thomas Bell Monroe served as a Federal Judge in Frankfort, Ky and was married to Eliza Adair, daughter of Gov. John Adair and Catherine Benoist Palmer of Laurens, SC. Thomas Bell Monroe died Dec.24, 1865 in Pass Christian, MS in exile from the Civil War. My Grandmother was Mary Adair Monroe, daughter of Thomas Bell Monroe, son of John Adair Monroe, son of Thomas Bell Monroe.
Hope this information assists you sorting through the Monroe's. Linda Adair Juba
